Glass atelier Zkus sklo was founded in 2021 in a recently emptied space on Masarykovo náměstí 69 in Jindřichův Hradec. The atelier is run by Václav Fuka, professional glassmaker taught in nearby Janštejn and Antonín Bořek-Dohalský, a self-taught glassmaker, who learned from Mirek Liederhaus and several other glassmaking friends.

In our glass collection, you will find all kinds of drinking and decorative glass and lamps. We also host a number of pieces made by our befriended glassmakers.
Our glass furnace is mobile, we absolved several tours around both Czechia and Europe, we appeared on many events, musical and crafts festivals, glass exhibitons, Christmas markets and others. In case you’d be interested in inviting us to Your event, we’ll be happy to give you and estimate and technical conditions of our participation.
If we want to talk about the story of our atelier in Jindřichův Hradec, we must start in Želízy near Mělník, where smith, glassmaker, constructor, and inventor Mirek Liederhaus lives. He managed, after years of development, to create a unique, mobile glass furnace, which made the existence of our studio possible.
